6 (AT LEAST) 4 (!) THE 26TH!
In the early 1980's in Ireland, this world-famous Irishman wrote a poem for his mother and became as well-known for his writing skills as he was for his social justice campaigns...
This English 'Lord' somehow or other was shocked in discovering that the Irish didn't much care for the way of life that he and others like him were trying to impose on their 'subjects'...
Dublin, 1916 - the right man was in the wrong place at the wrong time but the British didn't care and, in their haste to make an example of him, they left behind evidence of their wrongdoing and this was discovered by a family member...
In 18th Century Ireland, this drunken British soldier realised that he had brought a sword to a pistol fight, but he caught a lucky break (which was not so lucky for the 'Lord' he was facing...!)
...and two more stories as well.
Check back with us on Wednesday, 26th April 2023 for all the above and possibly even more, if something catches our eye between this and then!
Thanks for the visit, and for reading - see ye on the 26th!
