IRELAND IN PIECES...

BROKEN IRELAND...

Broken, damaged, twisted - but still salvageable!

...as was the life of this man who, in the early 1920's, having 'served King and Country' in three different British Army regiments before they removed him from the payroll as being "surplus" (their description - PTSD/'damaged goods', maybe...?), settled in Ireland, got married, got a job with a railway company but...

...couldn't quite give up his old ways and old lifestyle, which brought him to the attention of the rebels.

Which didn't work out well for him.

We're putting the finishing touches to an 18-part post, which will be comin' down the tracks (!) at ya on Wednesday, 29th May 2024.

Serious - deadly - misdirection, misrepresentation and impersonation by the Crown Forces in Ireland in 1919/1920, scab workers confronted by masked men in the 1920's, two brothers on an IRA operation in the 1920's which went wrong, the stark difference between the 'landed gentry' and their 'tenants' in 18th Century Ireland where the latter could barely feed themselves but the former could afford to house, feed and nurture - in this case - 19 children...

Hope to meet y'all back here on Wednesday, 29th May, 2024 - GRMA agus 'Thanks' for your visit now : see ya later.

Sharon and the team!
