REVENGE WAS HIS MOTIVE, AVENGE WAS THEIR OBJECTIVE...
Ireland, 1920's - this British Army man was promoted in rank and sent to Ireland 'to put manners on the Irish'.
And maybe he thought he could do so from the posh club he frequented, or maybe he needed to go there to unwind after a day of handing out 'manners' (!) but, either way, a waiter recognised who he was.
And the waiter also recognised where his duty lay and he was in contact with men who put their duty into action.
And the British Army man's brother believed he, too, had a duty...
...and YOU , too, have a duty (!) - to check back in with us on Wednesday, 17th July 2024, to find out what happened to the British Army man and his brother when they came here, one from shores further than England, with revenge in their hearts and on their minds...
And that's just one of the dozen or so pieces we'll be writing about, from 1798, the 1920's, 1955...oh never mind!
I've lost your attention already, 'cause yer fixated on the British Army man and his brother, ain't ya...?
Good!
Ya can read all about it here, on Wednesday 17th July 2024.
Thanks for the visit, and for reading ; see y'all on the 17th!
