1922 - IRA DELIVER NOTICE TO MICHAEL COLLINS : "WE NO LONGER RECOGNISE YOUR AUTHORITY..."

1923 - A REBEL'S MOTHER GOES FOR A LAST WALK WITH HER SON...

















'1920's Ireland : a high-ranking British 'Earl' who nixered (!) as an 'Imperial Staff' member wrote to a toff buddy of his about comparisons he noticed between the Irish rebels and those he claimed to have fought against in the Boer War...'

...and that's one of the twenty-four pieces we'll be posting here on Wednesday, 18th February, 2026, including one poignant article from the 1920's about an 'on-the-run' Volunteer who knew in his heart and soul that he was walking with his Mother for the last time.



'Munster, 1900's - in an area well-secured by the rebels, the British believed they could still transport munitions from one of their bases to another but, on this particular transportation journey, they were introduced to a reason as to why such movements were not advisable for them...'



'1920's - this rebel POW wasn't involved in the shootings that the British said he carried out and had over one dozen witnesses that placed him elsewhere ; he was offered an open door, literally, to simply walk out of prison, but refused, on a point of principle, because he was being charged with something he didn't do. He should have known that 'principle' would mean nothing to the British...'
