Among the five pieces we'll be posting will be one concerning what happened when a grouping from the Free State 'Special Branch' (political police) arrived to take this Irish republican fighter into 'custody', but he resisted. They told him they would use force, if necessary, to remove him from the premises. He told them they would have to do that, as he wasn't voluntarily going with them.
They withdrew from the venue. But they arrived back shortly afterwards, having re-grouped and re-inforced their number. When they attempted to force entry, they found their way blocked by whatever the republican could gather to hand - beds, tables and other furniture was stacked in their path. He was prepared to take them on, and they weren't prepared to take no for an answer...
This British Prime Minister shocked the political administration he was in charge of in Westminster when he all but apologised, in public, for the offences committed by them, politically and militarily, in Ireland...
Military and political cooperation by a weak 'leadership' with those who have sided, militarily and politically, against such a 'leadership' and those they claim to represent, is not a new phenomenon and is not confined to already corrupt entities like the 26-County State. This piece will reference that fact, and will tell how the weak military and political leaders of the area were 'rewarded for their loyalty' when the opportunity to do so presented itself...
